Law
School Loans
What
are law student loans?
Studying to obtain a
law degree can be expensive. Unfortunately, federal
student loan programs do not always give you access to
the money that you need in order to pay for your
degree. That's what Student Aid Centers has created
specialized law student loans.
These private law
student loans will allow you to borrow the money that
you need to manage your education expenses. You'll be
able to worry less about paying for your education and,
as a result, you'll be able to focus on your classes and
getting the most out of your law school education.
What
are the benefits of private law student
loans?
When you apply for any loan, you want to be
sure that you know what you're getting. This is
especially true of law student loans.
With our private law
student loans, you can be sure that you'll be getting
the money that you need at the best interest rate
possible. There is no application fee for our private
law student loans, and you'll be able to get
preliminary approval during the course of a quick
telephone call.
Our application process
is hassle free - you'll have enough papers piling up
while you're in school - and you will be able to have
access to your law student loan funds in as few as two
business days from the time your completed application
is received and approved.
Who is eligible for private law
student loans?
In order to be
eligible for private law student loans, you'll need to
be a law student in a degree program and enrolled in
school at least half time (the exact number of credit
hours will depend on the school you are attending). The
only other requirement is that you will need to attend
a Student Aid Centers approved school - call to find
out if your school is eligible.

How your
credit affects private law student loans.
Student Aid Centers recognizes that those
with great credit should be rewarded when they apply
for law student loans; the better your credit is, the
lower the cost of law student loans. However, those
with lower credit scores may be eligible for reduced
rates if they apply with a credit-worthy co-signer.
In order to get the best rates, a
credit-worthy borrower or co-signer must:
-
Have been employed for at least two
years or have been in business/self-employed for the
same amount of time;
-
Be able to show proof of his or her
current income;
-
Be able to demonstrate 21 months of
a satisfactory credit history;
-
Have lived in their current
residence for one year or longer; and,
-
Be a U.S. citizen or permanent
resident who has resided in the United States for
the past 2 years.
Alternately, if you are
deemed a credit-ready borrower for law student loans
from Student Aid Centers, you must meet certain credit
requirements and be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident
who has lived in the U.S. For the past two
years.
Can international students
apply for private law student loans?
While some student loan
programs require that applicants be U.S. Citizens,
Student Aid Centers makes law student loans available to
international students. However, in order to apply,
international students must apply with a qualified,
credit-worthy co-signer and provide copies of student
visas and other required documentation.
